Auditions

You can audition either in person or by DVD.  Live auditions are possible the following dates and locations:

Saturday, March 14: The Hartt Schooldeadline
Saturday, March 21: Baldwin-Wallace College, Berea, OH
Sunday, March 22:  Western Springs School of Talent Education, Western Springs, IL
Sunday, March 29: Ithaca College, Ithaca, NY

Additional tentative dates/locations are:
Saturday, March 28: The Hartt School

Auditions can be scheduled by contacting Diane Slone, seminar coordinator at slone@hartford.edu.  Auditions will be recorded, and the recordings will remain the property of the The Hartt School Community Division and the David Einfeldt Chamber Music Seminar.  Application forms and fees must be submitted at the time of the audition.

To submit a DVD, please label the disk with your name, instrument, age, and the works performed.  Recordings will not be returned.  Mail your DVD, application and fee, postmarked no later than April 1, 2009 to:

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS
Violin – 1) Concerto movement (e.g. Bach a minor, Mozart G Major), 2) additional piece (applicant’s choice) of comparable technical difficulty.

Viola –1)  Concerto movement (e.g. Telemann, Seitz, Stamitz), 2) additional piece (applicant’s choice) of comparable technical difficulty.

Cello – 1) Sonata movement (e.g. Eccles g minor, Sammartini G Major 2) additional contrasting piece of applicant’s choice (e.g. Bach Suite in G Major)

Piano – 1) Sonata movement (e.g. Mozart, Beethoven), 2) additional contrasting piece of applicant’s choice (e.g. Chopin, Schumann, Liszt)
